"A new speakeasy-style cocktail bar is coming to the ever-changing Buchanan Arts District in North Nashville.
"Called Minerva Speakeasy, the new venture, the first from newly formed Nashville-based Make a Play Hospitality Group (MAP), will be housed in a small brick building at 1000 Buchanan St. at the corner of Buchanan and 10th Ave. North. It joins a growing number of new businesses such as Slim & Husky’s and The Rollout that are changing the landscape of the North Nashville neighborhood.
"Few details are currently known about the project, but a representative states via a brief email that it will be an intimate spot offering cocktails with fresh juices and a small kitchen menu.
"As for the space, renderings dated this past December found on local real estate and development firm Southern Athena’s social media and website show that the existing structure will remain intact, with the addition of a garden patio and bar area attached to the building. The planned exterior will have a lighter palette, with metallic and darker wood elements used as accents. Design boards also show a wide variety of inspiration and possibilities for the interior. See a few of those exterior drawings below, or head here for a full slideshow."
Southern Athena was the Architect helping to create Shugga Hi Bakery in one of Nashville’s many transitioning neighborhoods. We worked directly with owners Kathy and Leslie to design their one of a kind space to match their dream atmosphere – southern comfort, sweet treats, friendship and community. Read more about their opening in Native Magazine – Issue 68 feature article and go visit this local business next time you are in East Nashville. We loved being a part of their design team bringing value to both the neighborhood’s real estate and hospitality.
We had a ton of fun at the 2017 Nashville Home + Remodeling Expo with two vendor booths right next to the stage. Not only did we have the best view in the Music City Center of all of the fun speakers at the Expo, such as HGTV’s “Listed Sisters”, and DIY Network’s “Nashville Flipped” – Troy Dean Shafer, but we also got to intimately explore some of the amazing new products and ideas out there to help us with our mission of “Building a Beautiful South”.
We had surprise visits from existing clients, and met a handful of new clients to discuss how we could be of service through our integrated approach to Architecture & Real Estate. If you are looking to Remodel and add value to your home and life, then contact us today.
